What to expect: Our skateboarding parties are a guaranteed favourite, during two action-packed hours we've got you covered with all the essentials – skateboards, helmets, ramps, and even awesome prizes. You won't have to worry about a thing. Our coaches are great with kids and know how to keep the party rolling smoothly while ensuring everyone stays safe. We have strict processes and training in place to minimize risks. Helmets are compulsory, but more importantly, our coaches know how to prevent falls and know what tricks to recommend to each child based on their skill level. You can trust that your little ones are in good hands. Our parties are perfect for 5-12 year olds, both boys and girls, whether they're beginners or intermediate level skaters. Choosing a Venue: Picking the right venue for your skateboarding party is super important, we're here to help based on your ideal location anywhere in Auckland. While skate parks are a popular choice, you could also consider school courts (especially if they have a covered area), or a car park if you have access to one. Either way, we bring our van loaded with lots of ramps. Choosing a location away from busy skate parks allows us to create a more exclusive party environment. When selecting a skate park, opt for quieter ones like Albany Skatepark or Jack Pringle Skatepark. It's also convenient to have public toilets and nearby shade for comfort. Our favourite venue is Albany Skatepark, we usually set up our ramps on the basketball courts to start with, and then use the rest of the skatepark as the day goes on when the kids are ready for bigger ramps. There are picnic tables and a grassy area for some downtime, public toilets, and even a playground nearby for younger siblings or pre/post-party fun.
What to Prepare: On the party day just remember to bring some drinks and snacks for the kids, maybe even a cake for a special treat halfway through the party during the 15 min food break. Setting up a picnic area for parents to relax and watch the action is always nice too. Don't worry about the rest - we'll look after the kids and ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Games and Activities:
1. We start off with workshops to teach the fundamentals an intro to skating if anyone has never skateboarded before. For more advanced skaters this is our chance to build on what they already know how to do.
2. We'll play a few games to energise and bring everyone together. It gives them something to do all together regardless of individual skill levels.
3. There's also plenty of free skate time, this is their chance to skate around and practice what they've learned or try something new using the ramps and obstacles around. During this time our coaches are still helping anyone who would like some one on one help. The coaches are also on the look out to make sure no one is trying something that is a little too advanced or unsafe, and then also helping to suggest more suitable tricks according to their current skill levels.
A Pirate Themed Skateboarding Party? Our parties are designed to make the whole day as effortless and stress free for you as possible... Though if you would like to make the day even more special you could always create a fun dress up theme like pirates, or skate fairies. Or bring along decorations etc. Though a nice little picnic area is usually more than enough.
